UNIVERSITY PARK, PA (January 22, 2009) – New Kids On The Block - one of the pioneer Pop groups from the late 1980’s and early 1990’s - are all grown up and back on the road, and they are bringing their old school sound to the Bryce Jordan Center on Tuesday, March 24 with special guests JabbaWockeeZ.

It’s been nearly 25 years since brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood stormed onto the music scene and seemingly became the joy of every teenage girl across the globe.  
The pop quintet released five studio albums over the span of a decade, won two American Music Awards and owned the radio airwaves with hits like “Hangin’ Tough,” “You Got It (The Right Stuff),” “Cover Girl,” “Didn’t I (Blow Your Mind This Time)” and many others. 

The New Kids fell silent after disbanding in 1994 and watched as countless Pop bands began marching down the road that they helped pave.  But in April of 2008 they finally got the itch and decided to once again hit the studio and the road.

The group released its sixth studio project entitled “The Block” this past September and embarked on a much-anticipated reunion tour.  Following a string of extremely successful dates in the latter half of 2008, the five grown men from Boston, Massachusetts are now embarking on a 2009 tour that passes through Penn State on March 24.

Joining New Kids on the tour will be JabbaWockeeZ, a diverse male dance crew that gained fame by appearing on NBC’s America's Got Talent before winning the MTV hip hop dance reality series America's Best Dance Crew.

The Dead will perform a 2-night stand at the DCU Center April 18 and 19!  After months of fan speculation bolstered by an October 2008 performance at the "Change Rocks" concert/rally for Barack Obama in State College, PA and three recent viral internet videos with band interviews and performance footage, the DEAD has officially announced that they will embark on a 19-show tour beginning this April, including a 2-night stop in Worcester at the DCU Center April 18-19. Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Saturday, January 24 at 10AM.

Hi. My name is Stephen Lynch. This is my biography. I play songs that I write on my guitar or my piano and people think they are funny. I grew up in Michigan, which is shaped like a mitten. I was born in Pennsylvania, which is shaped like a theatre ticket from a Broadway show. That Broadway show? "Jersey Boys." Not "The Wedding Singer" which I starred in. I have been singing and writing music since I was a kid. The first song I ever wrote was a country music song about a cowboy who breaks up with his girlfriend, then goes to a diner. There, his entrée reminds him of his lost love. It was called "Beefy Burrito." I thought it was hilarious, but that's probably because I was 15 at the time. Really it was awful.

Lord of the DanceDescribed by the New York Post as "fascinating, rewarding and above all, entertaining," and by the Los Angeles Times as "a showpiece extravaganza," Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance is a mesmerizing blend of traditional and modern Celtic music and dance.  The story is based upon mythical Irish folklore as Don Dorcha, Lord of Darkness, challenges the ethereal lord of light, the Lord of the Dance.  Battle lines are drawn, passions ignite and a love story fueled by the dramatic leaps and turns of dancers' bodies begins to build against a backdrop of Celtic rhythm. 

The action is played out over 21 scenes on a grand scale of precision dancing, dramatic music, colorful costumes and state-of-the-art staging and lighting.
