The U.S. Women's National Team will take on Ireland following the 2008 Olympic Games.

N.J. Forward Heather O'Reilly, from Exit 9 on the New Jersey Turnpike, and defender Christine Rampone, from Exit 98 on the Garden State Parkway, will join Delran, N.J. midfielder Carli Lloyd, as the New Jersey natives for this game. The U.S. is no stranger to Giants Stadium, having played four games at the venue, including a 3-0 win against Denmark in the opening match of the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The U.S. Women advanced to the semifinals of the 2008 Olympics with a 1-0 victory in extra time against Canada on Friday, and will face Japan in a semifinal matchup on Mon, Aug. 18. The U.S. will then play in a placement match on Thurs., Aug. 21., in either the Gold Medal match or the Bronze Medal match, depending on Monday's result.

The former wife of Andrew Lloyd Webber – and known as a performer of classical "crossover" material - has sold 26 million albums. Brightman, dressed in a long white Versace dress, sang the Game's theme song "You and Me" with Huan from the top of a huge globe as fireworks exploded across Beijing. The 47-year-old performer said she was not nervous until the moment came to sing for the estimated audience of one billion people. "There was this amazing feeling in the atmosphere and there were just hundreds of people who worked so hard, put their heart and soul in it, to make it look the way that it did. All of that together was just incredibly emotional." The song was one of the closely held secrets of the opening ceremony, along with the manner of lighting the Olympic cauldron.

San Diego-based singer/song-surfer Jason Mraz has unveiled autumn tour plans which include a stop at New York’s famed Radio City Music Hall on Friday, October 10!

Mraz continues to tread his own distinctive artistic path, melding a variegated musical tapestry with passionate, personal lyricism. His new album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things, which features the chart topping song "I'm Yours," follows two previous studio releases: 2002's RIAA platinum-certified breakthrough, Waiting For My Rocket To Come, with the blockbuster "Remedy (I Won't Worry)" and 2005's Grammy®-nominated Mr. A-Z, which debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hit song "Wordplay."

The Arena Football 2 League Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are "Shootin for the Cup" and that quest continues this Saturday Night as the Pioneers host the Tennessee Valley Vipers in the ArenaCup American Conference Semifinals at Wachovia Arena at 7:30 p.m.

The Pioneers defeated the Vipers 77-49 at Wachovia Arena back on June 13.  After a 35-35 tie at halftime, the Pioneers defense stood strong allowing Tennessee Valley only 14 points in the second half.

Just back from China, the country’s most celebrated gymnasts including reigning World Champion Shawn Johnson, 9-time World Championship medalist Nastia Liukin, 2005 All-Around World Champion Chellsie Memmel, and Olympic medalist Morgan Hamm will join Paul Hamm, Shannon Miller, Blaine Wilson and the U.S. gymnastics team (including Team USA’s Captain Kevin Tan from Penn State) for The 2008 Tour of Gymnastics Superstars.

Goldfrapp, known for their visual theatrics and contribution to the popularization of electronic dance music, comes to New York City on Friday, September 12 for a very special concert at Radio City Music Hall after selling out the Beacon Theatre earlier this year.

Goldfrapp delivered their debut album, Felt Mountain, in 2000 to nearly universal acclaim. In the following years, Goldfrapp returned with Black Cherry (2003) and Supernature (2005), both of which continued the disco and glam rock influences of the duo's previous album. 2008's Seventh Tree moved in a calmer, more acoustic-based, but just as sonically lush direction.

Special guest Martha Wainwright has made a name for herself with a self-titled EP, as well as a four-song EP called Factory in 2002. In April 2005, Wainwright released an EP called Martha Wainwright. Her second full-length album, I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too, arrived in spring 2008.
