Yaz — Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet — have announced that they will reunite for the first time in over 25 years for Reconnected, a U.S. tour with a stop at The Chicago Theatre on July 14th.

The joyous, unlikely coming together of Vince Clarke, who had just left Depeche Mode, and Alison Moyet lasted for only two albums, saw them performing only 24 concerts worldwide, but left an indelible mark on pop.

Yaz released Upstairs At Eric's in July 1982 then parted company just 12 months later on release of the second album You And Me Both, which reached Number 1 in the UK.

Vince and Alison have since gone on to have their own successful careers, Vince with Erasure and Alison as a solo performer, both releasing Top 30 critically acclaimed hit albums in 2007 — Erasure with Light At The End Of The World and Alison Moyet with The Turn.

The Arena Football 2 League Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers have won 17 straight home games dating back to the 2006 season, and will look to continue that streak on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. at Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre against their division rival Manchester Wolves. The Pioneers are looking to clinch the American Conference East Division crown and can take one step closer to achieving that goal with a win over second place Manchester.

Children 12 and under will receive a Pete the Pioneer bobblehead at the gate (quantities are limited).

The Pioneers won the first meeting between the two teams this season at Wachovia Arena on April 26th by a score of 68-50.  Manchester rebounded from the loss to even the series with a 70-63 win over the Pioneers in Manchester on May 31st.  With the series tied and the division crown at stake, the Pioneers will look to take the bite out of the Wolves chances at claiming the East Division crown by recording their 10th win of the season.

Michael McDonald became one of the most distinctive and popular vocalists to emerge from the laid-back California pop/rock scene of the late '70s. McDonald is perhaps best known for his signature style with the Doobie Brothers, who produced such hits as "Taking it to the Streets" and "What a Fool Believes." His first solo debut, If That's What it Takes, was released in 1982 and contained his first solo hit "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)." Throughout his solo career, McDonald has collaborated with legends such as Kenny Loggins, Patti LaBelle and Aretha Franklin as well as modern rap artists like Warren G. Spanning nine centuries of history, this choir has established itself as one of the major forces in British church music today. They last performed at the Cathedral of Saint Paul in 2003. This concert will be broadcast live on Classical Minnesota Public Radio.

A choir of boys and gentlemen has sung at St. Paul's Cathedral since the twelfth century. Today's choir is quite large, consisting at full complement of 30 choristers (boy trebles), eight probationers (who will become choristers) and 18 adults: six counter-tenors (or altos), six tenors and six basses. The ensemble will feature 33 singers for this American visit.

Great seats are still available for "Heroes Night" on Friday, June 13th, when the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers take on the Tennessee Valley Vipers at 7:00 p.m. at the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre.

There will be a parade of heroes and some of the great men and women from all branches of the military will be on the field to celebrate a night for America.  UNIVERSITY PARK , PA – Pop rock sensations, the Jonas Brothers will bring their exciting production to Penn State ’s  Bryce Jordan Center  on Tuesday, September 2 at 7:00 p.m.  The Jonas Brothers have been selling out their shows across North America and have added State College to the popular The Burning Up Tour. 

The trio will soon be releasing their third album, “A Little Bit Longer” on August 12.  They co-wrote all the new songs and recorded much of the album on the road in a specially outfitted Gibson tour bus.  The lead single, “Burnin’ Up” is also the name of the their North American tour produced by Live Nation.

Chris Brown became an instant star when he burst onto the music scene in 2005. His self-titled debut album reached #2 on the Billboard 200 and was certified double platinum within a year. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band opened their 2008 European tour in Dublin, Ireland last weekend to rapturous critical response. The Irish Times said "Bruce Springsteen finds his promised land under slate-grey skies of Dublin." The Evening Herald pronounced that the concert "reaches dizzying heights," continuing, "it all becomes very clear to those new to the Springsteen experience, just why he's considered one of the greatest live acts in the world."

The 23 European tour dates follow an extensive tour in the US this spring. Springsteen and the E Street Band have performed 105 different songs on the tour, which has prompted singular raves in the press. In March, Newsday (NY) commented, "Springsteen and the E Street Band delivered an arena show that felt by turns both spectacular and intimate. Three decades into a near-perfect career, with a reputation for raucous and roof-raising performances, the question is no longer, 'Were they good?' The question is, 'How good were they?'"
