Great Seats Still Available for Peoria Ballet's World Premiere Performance of "Wings"
Funded in part by the Community Foundation of Central Illinois, the Peoria Ballet will be performing "Wings," a program of cutting-edge choreography and an eclectic collaboration with a visual artist and jazz composer.

Peoria-based sculptor and painter Preston Jackson and Chicago-based jazz composer Greg Ward will join Peoria Ballet Artistic Director Erich Yetter as choreographers in this new work, which will have its world premiere March 1 at 8 p.m. at the Peoria Civic Center Theater.

The original score will be played live by a jazz ensemble and the choreography will be danced by a combination of guest artists and dancers from the Peoria Ballet and Peoria High School.

Fresh off winning a Grammy Award for "Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album" for "Call Me Mr. Irresponsible," Bublé is coming to Fresno as part of his third major concert tour of the US.
The singer's 2007 summer tour was so popular that he ended up adding second and third nights in many US markets. He closed the year with concerts throughout Europe and South Africa.
All the hard work has been in support of Buble's third studio album, "Call Me Irresponsible," which debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 last May and took over the No. 1 spot its second week out.
"Call Me Irresponsible" comprises standards including "I've Got the World on a String," "The Best is Yet to Come" and a gospel version of Frank Sinatra's "That's Life," as well as covers of Leonard Cohen's  "I'm Your Man" and Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight." It also introduces two new originals, including the Buble-penned radio hit "Everything."
Buble's latest album follows his 2005 platinum-seller, "It's Time," which remained on Billboard's Traditional Jazz chart for two years and won four Juno Awards (the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys).

Blues to Salute a Local Hero at Sunday's Game

The Blues will recognize 18-year-old local hero Joshua Hearn at Sunday's game vs. Columbus. Joshua rescued two young children (ages 4 and 6) from a burning home in Granite City, IL a week ago, climbing through an open window with no concern for his own safety. Because of his quick thinking and bravery, firefighters on the scene credited him with saving their lives. He will be recognized in a ceremony during the first period on Sunday.

In addition, the Blues/SLU Pep Band will be back by popular demand. The band will play throughout Sunday's game and will even play on the Scottrade Center concourse before the game. Sunday will mark the band's second-ever appearance at a Blues game and they will return one more time this season on March 4 vs. Los Angeles.

Plus, the Blues will also introduce the inaugural class of the St. Louis Amateur Hockey Hall of Fame. This Hall of Fame display will be housed inside Scottrade Center.
