NEIL BERG'S - 100 YEARS OF BROADWAY
PARKER PLAYHOUSE
April 12, 2008
Neil Berg's immensely entertaining "100 Years of Broadway" has audiences jumping to their feet with "Bravos" around the country. The show features five Broadway stars – many singing the songs they made famous on the Great White Way - one great band, and 100 years of song, brought to life by award-winning composer and musical director Neil Berg. Highlighting favorites from Broadway legends like Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Leonard Bernstein, and Andrew Lloyd Webber to Broadway newcomers Billy Joel and Frankie Valli, Neil Berg's sprawling revue romps gleefully through the American musical theater's greatest hits, with many of the originating performers reprising their signature roles. Neil Berg has worked with Broadway legends Michael Crawford, Rita Moreno, Bernadette Peters, Ben Vereen, Betty Buckley, Donna McKechnie and many other greats. Now, he puts some of the best talents together with some of the best works ever written, and brings the whole production to the beautiful Parker Playhouse. It's a sublimely satisfying night at the theater.
