STATE COLLEGE, PA (February 1, 2010) – Three-time American Music Award winners Daughtry will bring their 2010 North American Tour to Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center on Wednesday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. with special guest Cavo.
Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday at 10:00 a.m., but a special BJC Insiders Pre-Sale will be held this Tuesday, February 2 at 12:00 p.m. until this Thursday, February 4 at 6:00 p.m. To purchase your tickets before the general public, simply CLICK HERE and enter the Password: LIFE
The general public on-sale begins this Friday, February 5 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Bryce Jordan Ticket Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Tickets Downtown, Penn State Altoona Campus, online at www.ticketmaster.com and www.bjc.psu.edu or charge by phone at (814) 865-5555.
A limited number of $20 tickets will be offered to all Penn State University Park students, courtesy of UPAC, and a special Student Pre-Sale will be held this Tuesday, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Students can pre-purchase their tickets at the HUB, Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium and Downtown Theatre.
Fronted by Season 5 American Idol finalist, Chris Daughtry, Daughtry is out in support of its current sophomore album, Leave This Town, but it was their smash debut effort that put this North Carolina quintet on the map.
Following his strong run on American Idol, Chris Daughtry and friends released their self-titled, debut album in November of 2006. The record quickly climbed the charts, outselling the debut album of American Idol winner Taylor Hicks and reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 for two consecutive weeks. Led by the hit singles “It’s Not Over” and “Home,” Billboard later named it the top-selling album of 2007.
Supporting Daughtry will be Cavo, a four-piece rock act out of St. Louis, Missouri whose second EP, Champagne, garnered national attention back in 2008. The success of the EP’s title track allowed the group to set up several showcases, including an opening slot for Stone Temple Pilots, which was attended by label representatives from Warner Brothers Records. The band later signed to Warner/Reprise late in 2008 and are the featured support on the second leg of Daughtry’s North American Tour.
