FEEL THE BLUES
B.B. King and Buddy Guy, both legends of the blues, will perform in a cabaret style setting at the MAC. B.B. King has reigned as King of the Blues as long as that of any monarch on earth and continues to wear his crown well at age 83. Time has no apparent effect on B.B., other than to make him more popular and more cherished, as he is still light on his feet, singing and playing the blues with relentless passion. B.B. was inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame in 1984, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and has received countless other awards and accolades including 15 Grammys. B.B. has has been the subject of several autobiographys and has Blues Clubs in several U.S. cities.
Buddy Guy possesses a colossal musical resume of hard-earned accolades. He's a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a chief guitar influence to rock titans like Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, a 23-time Grammy Award winner, a 23-time W.C. Handy Blues Awards winner (the most any artist has received), the winner of Billboard Magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement and the recipient of the Presidential National Medal of Arts
