Since the band's inception, Metallica has evolved into one of the greatest metal bands ever, a household name, and the seventh-biggest selling act in American history. Earlier this year they received their eighth Grammy Award (for Best Metal Performance for Death Magnetic's "My Apocalypse"), and this month will see the release of the Metallica Guitar Hero game as well as the release of The Complete Metallica, a discography box set, featuring 163 tracks.
