The ‘80s Regeneration Tour 2008 featuring ABC, The Romantics, Missing Persons, A Flock of Seagulls and Naked Eyes will be at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Saturday, August 30 at 7 pm. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 am. ABC, with front man Martin Fry, charted three U.S. Top 10 singles between 1982 and 1990 including Poison Arrow, The Look of Love (Part One), All of My Heart and When Smokey Sings. The Romantics achieved popularity during the first half of the 1980s on the strength of the band's hit single What I Like About You, from the band’s self-titled debut album.
Missing Persons was founded in 1980 in Los Angeles and is led by vocalist Dale Bozzio. Her quirky voice made the band a favorite on MTV and radio with the singles Destination Unknown, Words and Walking in L.A. A Flock of Seagulls benefited considerably from MTV's heavy rotation of the I Ran video in the summer of 1982. Naked Eyes, best known for its singles, (There’s) Always Something There To Remind Me and its subsequent hit Promises, Promises. The Regeneration Tour is all your ‘80s hits live and in person.
